This song has stirred so many emotions in me as a performer.
I first sung this song with Fred at the Canberra Playhouse at the launch of his Sparrows of Kabul show. When Fred asked me if I'd be interested in wearing a head scarf when singing Trembling Sky and Thousand Splendid Suns, one thought popped into my head: Would it be culturally appropriate for me to do so?
Surprisingly the scarf made me put myself in an Afghan woman's shoes. I want to feel her, I want to know more about her, I want to sing her story.
I hope you can feel the lyrics and the emotions as much as I do in this live version of Trembling Sky.
For this version we had the following wonderful and intuitive Canberra musicians. It has been so great to have their support over the years:
Fred Smith - songwriter and acoustic guitar Matt Nightingale - double bass Hayden Kinsman - keyboard Viktor Rufus - electric guitar Kim Yang - vocal

Kim Yang's debut 3-track EP Ocean of Mind, produced by Guyy Lilleyman at Amberly Studios, Canberra, Australia.
This EP features 3 melodic and emotional songs about love, hope and loss written by Kim Yang.
Track by Track rundown:
Ocean Of Mind Set to a melancholic soundtrack that builds to an uplifting crescendo, Ocean of Mind tells a story of struggle and support. It’s a tale about someone overwhelmed with life and drowning in insecurity, who is saved through the love and support of those around them.
Wake Me Up Wake Me Up is a powerful song about the balance between love and lust. Inspired by powerful vocalists and backed by a driving ukulele, Kim tells the story of a couple always on the edge of falling out of love.
Missed Chance After performing on national TV in Taiwan, Kim was trolled online and retreated from the limelight. Years later, Kim received a letter from an adoring fan encouraging her to ignore detractors and embrace her talent. Missed Chance is the deeply personal response to that letter.
